Coach Mike Latty Enshrined in the HMC Athletic Hall of Fame

The Huntsville-Madison County Athletic Hall of Fame committee finally inducted the outstanding class of 2020 on Monday, September 13, 2021.   As only the third ever soccer inductee, USC Technical Director and club Founding Father, Coach Mike Latty was included in this illustrious group of men and women.

Coach Latty's 40 year career was highlighted in a tribute video from his humble Jamaican roots, to the long list of championships and awards.   In his 10 years as Grissom High School Head Coach, he appeared 9 times in State Title games and was crowned State Champion 7 times!
After each presentation, the inductees were presented with medals and personalized plaques and Coach Latty received a standing ovation from the over 100 friends and family gathered to honor him.  From former players and students, to current coaches and soccer administrators, Coach Latty's deep rooted reach in the soccer community was vastly apparent.

Coach Latty, along with ten other outstanding athletic North Alabama legacies will now forever be remembered for their positive impact on their respective sports, mentoring young athletes, and giving back to their community.

Congratulations Coach!
