Kevin Shivers

Coach Kevin grew up playing soccer and as an "army brat" played in many states across the US and even in Ansbach, Germany during Middle School and High School.  He started the inaugural men's soccer team at Hillcrest High School in Tuscaloosa, AL his junior year and graduated in 1995.  He then went onto play at the University of Montevallo.    

He received his undergraduate degree in Social Science and then received his Masters of Arts in History from Valdosta State University.  He began teaching and coaching Girls' Soccer at Lovejoy High School and then at Jackson High School in Jackson, GA, where he led the team to three state tournament appearances.  He was named Butts County Teacher of the Year in 2009.  

Kevin and his family moved to Alabama in 2013 and began teaching and coaching Varsity Girls' Soccer at Hartselle High School.   Throughout his career, he has served on numerous leadership, curriculum design, teacher development, testing, and technology committees.  In December 2018, Kevin earned his Teacher Leadership Degree from the University of West Alabama.   

Kevin has over 20 years of coaching experience at the youth and high school levels.  He is extremely excited to join the USC staff and looks forward to watching the girls program grow!  He currently teaches 11th grade US History and AP US History at Randolph School.

Coach Kevin currently has his USSF F license, Grassroots license and is pursuing his D license.
