It’s been another exciting and successful season for the outstanding USC 05B Premier. At the 2018 Open Cup Boys Tournament in Decatur they were finalists in the Gold Division. It was an epic international final featuring our USC 05B Premier and the Monterrey FC Rayados of Monterrey, Mexico. The USC 05B Premier were unlucky on the day. On a very narrow, wet and muddy field USC put on a beautiful display of possession and skill for most of the 60 minute game. Leading 2-1 late into the game, they were unfortunate to miss several beautiful opportunities created, and Monterrey were able to come from behind and capitalize on a late corner, followed by a counter attack break away. It was a tremendous experience for the USC Boys to compete at a high level against one of the top youth professional clubs in Mexican First Division. We are extremely proud of the effort and performance of the USC 05B Premier.
