All,

It was an exciting weekend for United Soccer Club at the 2017 Alabama Soccer Association State Championships in Foley, AL.

USC had several teams in the final four this year, and we were thankful to see 4 of our teams advanced to the Championship match in their respective age group.

Congratulations to the following teams:

USC 03 Girls Elite - Coach Jared Keesee - DII U15G ASA State Finalists
USC 03 Boys Premier - Coach Paul Tedesco - D1 U15B ASA State Finalists
USC 01 Boys Premier - Coach Mike Latty - D1 U17B ASA State Finalists

and last but not least, and big Congratulations to Coach David Cienfuegos and the USC 99 Boys Premier - The 2017 ASA U19 Boys State Champions!!!!!!

This is a great story for Coach David and the USC 99 Boys. This age group has had a fantastic run for USC since they started as one of the early teams in the club over ten years ago. They have seen the State Championship game before, just last year members of this squad were apart of the team last year that lost in pk’s in the Finals, and years before that saw near misses falling in OT. The core of this group have seen many great years and success at USC, and we are excited and proud of them for finishing strong in this their final season in youth soccer as Alabama State Champions. Congratulations to Coach David Cienfuegos and the boys for a great career at USC. (Side note: several former members of this team are now in college, Drew Kelly (UAH), Tanner Bell (UAH), James Fee (UAH), Saylor Solley (UAH), Deivi Bucio (UAH), Angel Contreras (UWA), and Brennan Bell (UWA)(USC 98B)  were in the Gulf South Conference Championship Game this past weekend as UWA defeated UAH in penalty kicks. Great to see so many members of this group succeeding in college soccer as well as the returning members carrying out the mission and finishing as Champions for the 99 Boys.

Congratulations to all of these teams on a successful season, and a successful run at the ASA Championships.
