The USC '99 Premier boys team slayed the Adidas Generations Cup in Atlanta on December 5th & 6th.  The team, led by coach David Cienfuegos in his 3rd year at the helm, performed in superb fashion in the first round.  They defeated KSA U17 Premier 2-0 in the first game with goals from Nick Maiorana and guest player Judson Parker.  In the second game, the team continued their defensive prowess and held off NASA B'17 Premier 1-0 with a goal from Isaac Rodriguez.  In the third game, the Blues came out flying and scored the first of their 3 first half goals in the first minute of the game when captain Will Gannoway pierced the net after  dazzling display of intricate passing.  Nick Maiorana had the second goal and Isaac Rodriguez had the third from an unassisted effort.  The game would end 3-2 as Iturbe FC from Nashville attempted to mount a comeback, scoring their 2nd goal with only a seconds left in the game.  The Blues would face Concorde Fire North-Black in the finals.  Again, the team showed great resilience and teamwork by setting the tone early and had a 2-0 first half lead both goals from Will Gannoway.  Concorde fought back hard and got back in the game second half and tied it up with less than 10 minutes remaining.  USC had a few chances on goal hit the woodwork, but the game would end in a 2-2 draw.  The final would be determined with Kicks from the Mark.  With saves from senior Keeper Bryan Worley and goals from Nick Maiorana, Isaac Rodriguez and the game winner by Deivi Bucio helped USC capture the cup at the Adidas Generations tournament.
USC would like to congratulate the team on a great performance.  A big thanks  to seniors Bryan Worley and Griffin Stewart for their dedication to the club the past few years.
