The USC 98 Boys were Champions in the top U-16 Division at the CSA Wolf River Classic in Memphis, Tennessee. The boys finished on top of the 5 team division with a 2-0 record which included a 2-0 victory over the Bartlett Soccer Club and a 1-0 victory over the host club, the CSA 98 Lobos Rush Elite. In the finals they had a rematch with the Lobos. After being down 2-0 at half and watching one of their teammates taken off the field in an ambulance, they mounted a furious comeback. They played the last 15 minutes down a man and got the equalizer on a penalty kick as time expired. They capped off an amazing final by winning the PK shoot-out 5-4. Congratulations to Coach Trevor and the boys on a great tournament. We also want to wish Carson Counter a speedy recovery and look forward to seeing him on the pitch next year.
