United Player Nick Smith Signs at Spring Hill College

nick_signing.jpgNick Smith has signed to play soccer at Spring Hill college under Coach Tim Brooks starting the fall semester of 2011, along with fellow teammate Sam Keiser. Nick is a midfielder and has been a member of the United family since it's inception. Nick has been coached by Bob Vayda, Paul Tedesco, and Dave Nadler. He attends Grissom High school where he is currently coached by Steven Van Horn, also a United coach. As a 3 year varsity player and this year's co-captain for Grissom, Nick holds several awards. These include being a member of the 2011 AHSAA class 6A state soccer championship team, best-midfielder all 3 years, 2010 Brendan O'Halloran Coach's award, 2010 Huntsville Times Elite Soccer Team Honorable Mention. Nick would like to thank the United family for helping him to accomplish his goal to play soccer at the collegiate level. He couldn't have done it without you!
 

United Player Sam Keyser Signs at Spring Hill College

sam1.jpegCongratulations to Sam Keyser for signing a soccer scholarship to Spring Hill College. Sam holds the honor of being the first male soccer player from East Limestone High School to receive a scholarship to play soccer at the collegiate level. The United family is truly proud of his accomplishment. Sam played on United's 93 team coached by Dave Nadler. Spring Hill College is located in Mobile, Alabama and is coached by Tim Brooks.

 

United Teams Find Success in 2008 AYSA State Cup

Congratulations go out to all three United teams that participated in the 2008 AYSA State Cup. All three United teams played on the Final Four weekend at the Jack Allen Soccer Complex in Decatur, Alabama.  The 93 Girls were Finalists falling just short in their hard fought final match.  The 91Girls and 93 Boys both made it to the Semifinals finishing off a very successful season.  The United family is very proud of the accomplishments of these teams and wish them continued success.

USC '93 Boys are Finalists in Adidas Brentwood Invitational

93Boys_Brentwood.jpgThe United SC 93 Boys U16 team completed a great weekend as Finalists in the adidas Brentwood Invitational.  In group play, the team went undefeated and had wins against host team Brentwood 93 Boys Select, TNFC 93 White and BUSA Select 93 outscoring their opponents 15-2 with two shutouts.  After getting down early in the championship game by three goals to a strong well rested Clarksville Kaos Arsenal team,  United SC 93 battled back late in the game to score two goals and were threatening to score again when time expired.  Congratulations to the United SC 93 Boys team on their success.

 

'93 Boys Have a Successful Fall 2007

The United '93 Boys team, coached by Paul Tedesco, complete a successful 2007 Fall season.  This group played some competitive tournaments and had some very successful outcomes.  Results include:

  • 2007 Liberty Cup Elite Challenge, Birmingham, AL - Finalist
  • 2007 Adidas Men's Invitational, Brentwood, TN - Champions
  • 2007 Crossroads of the South, Jackson, MS - Semi-Finalist
  • 2007 Alabama Youth Soccer Association State Cup - Semi-Finalist

The United family is very proud of their accomplishments this season and wish them continued success next year.
