Erin Bunyard
Erin began playing soccer at age 4 and her club experience soon followed at age 9. At a young age, she took to the defensive strategy of the game, and has had the privilege of playing competitively in every position within the defensive third of the field. By age 12, she was captain of the ’87 Rampage team, winner of 5 consecutive State Championships.
Erin was a starter on the Bob Jones Varsity Girls squad for 4 years and was captain for 2 of those. Her junior year at Bob Jones, the Lady Patriots took home their first state title. High school acknowledgements include: Best Newcomer (Fr.), Best Defender (Soph.), Huntsville Times Player of the Year (Jr.), All-State (Jr.), Gatorade MVP (Jr.), Lady Patriot MVP (Sr.).
After high school, Erin had the opportunity to further her career at the University of Southern Mississippi (Conference USA). Continuing to play in the defense, Erin played all 4 years, earning Coach’s Player of the Year her sophomore year and USM's highest honor, the Lady Eagle Award, her senior year. After completing her senior season for USM, Erin started her coaching career as Assistant Coach for the Hattiesburg High Girls Varsity squad. Erin began coaching with United Soccer Club in 2008 working with the U18 and U10 Girls’ teams.
