Corey Overstreet

Corey was born in Montgomery, AL and has over 19 years of playing, coaching, and refereeing soccer experience.  Corey started playing club soccer at the age of 8 with the Invaders where the team made it to the state finals.  Over the years he has played with the Green Mountain Cougars, Hi Energy, Blue Lasers, and Rocket City Kicks.

 

In 1999, Corey made the Alabama ODP team and traveled to Amsterdam playing in the Haarlem Cup.  Corey attended Grissom High School where he was team captain for two years, selected twice to All-State teams, and was on the 2002 team that was a Finalist in the AHSAA State Tournament.  He also played in the North-South All-Star game for the state of Alabama.  Corey started coaching in 1998 as an assistant to his father who coached youth teams.  After graduating from the University of Alabama with a BS in Biology in 2008, Corey came back to Huntsville and joined the United Soccer Club coaching staff as an assistant coach for the 98 Boys team.
